I am doing my B Com-I (hons) from Osmania University, and i don't have any work experience and i want to aspire for CAT and want to get into IIM's and Will the IIM's prefer an engineer or will they take me?

IIMs don’t have any hidden rule; no preference is given to any one from engineer background just because they have completed engineering. If your prepare hard and come up with a good score in written and then perform equally well in GD/PI no one can deny you a seat in IIM. Work- experience persons are always preferred over fresher because they are better equipped to do an mba program than a fresher just coming out of the college. Still most of the students joining IIM are fresher without any work-ex.
